Dear Interior Design Students -- Hi, my name is Lisa Barron, ASID, RID, and I am a Senior Designer with Dallas Design Group, Interiors. We extend a warm welcome to you for an immersive day shadowing our interior design team. As designers of high-end residential and commercial spaces, we embark on a journey where creativity meets functionality, and aesthetics intertwine with practicality.


Here’s a glimpse of what awaits you:

  • Firm Tour: Our day commences with an insightful tour of our design firm -a place where ideas flourish, sketches come to life, and innovation thrives. You’ll witness firsthand the heartbeat of our creative hub.
  • Client Meetings : Picture this: creative spaces , spirited discussions, and the art of understanding our clients’ dreams. Join us as we engage in meaningful dialogues, translating visions into tangible design.
  • On-Site Adventures: Buckle up! We’ll whisk you away to job sites—the theater where our designs unfold. Amid the hum of construction, you’ll witness the metamorphosis from concept to reality. 
  • Product Quest: Brace yourself for a treasure hunt. Sourcing materials, scouting showrooms, and unearthing that perfect accent piece or fabric
  • Dress Code: Business casual attire strikes the right chord—professional yet approachable. And don’t forget your backup pair of comfy shoes; we’re a team on the move! Lunch will be provided.

About the ASID Texas Chapter
The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,700+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare [HSW] of the public.
