Hi, my name is Alex Hosseinnia, and I am the Founder and CEO of Dallas Rugs, an ASID Industry Partner. I am a graduate of the Edinburgh School of Agriculture in Scotland and recipient of the Certificate in Wool from Lincoln University in New Zealand. It was through my studies that I developed a love for natural fibers like wool, which I affectionately refer to as a miracle fiber. I have been actively involved in the U.S. rug industry since 1995, immersing myself in the world of rugs and rug care. I value my relationships and partnerships with interior designers and have served in leadership on the ASID Texas Chapter level in multiple roles over the years. The relationship between designer and industry partner is a symbiotic one. For the designer, it is imperative to have a network of vendors who offer a broad range of merchandise to complete his or her projects while consistently providing exemplary service. For the industry partner, it’s important to establish rapports with designers who can support his or her business. We lend stability to one another. If you choose my experience, you will: learn about the process of selecting rug options for interior design projects (both commercial and residential); learn about current rug styles and trends, materials, construction, customization, and manufacturing processes; and understand what it entails to arrange and maintain a high-volume, multi-line showroom. FYI: I’m only taking 3 students for this experience.
