Hi, my name is Liz Velasco, and I am Showroom/Hand Selection Manager with Everest Stone, an ASID Industry Partner. Everest Stone is a direct importer that specializes in the wholesale distribution of Natural Stone & Quartz Slabs. I am excited to mentor as I absolutely love working in the natural stone industry. I started over 20 years ago and continue to learn and grow! If you choose my experience, we will view material in our yard while talking and learning about natural stone and quartz and the appropriate applications for specific materials. We will cover the origin of different materials and the logistical process to get it here. If I have appointments or walk-ins to view material, then you will be able to sit in on those sessions to understand how to work with clients. There is a possibility for us to visit a design center and/or fabricator, but I will not know until closer to the date. Our slab yard is outdoors, so dress weather appropriate and comfortable. FYI: I am only taking 1 student for this experience.
