Hi, I'm Kathryn Nelson, ASID. Shadow me and I'll take you on a real-life day at KND (Kathryn Nelson Design). At KND, we specialize in high-end design services for residential new construction and renovations. I’ve been an interior designer for ten years and am now juggling my work-life balance with a newborn. Prior to now, I’ve worked on residential, commercial, hospitality and multi-family projects across the US, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America for two prestigious Dallas-based firms. Follow me on a day in the life of a residential interior designer. We'll begin by meeting at the new ASID Texas Chapter offices at the DMC. From there we'll take a quick walking tour of the area, pop by some showrooms to do some client pulls, hit some other nearby places to pull some materials and pickup samples then grab lunch and visit. Should we have enough time and weather permitting, we'll do some site visits for some new construction homes that KND is currently working on too.
Please wear business casual and comfortable walking shoes (no athleisure or sweats, jeans are acceptable). Eager to meet you! FYI: I’m taking up to 2 students for this experience.
