If you love furniture and fabrics, Asher Interiors is where you want to be. Hi, my name is Shari Ben-Shabat, and I am President of Asher Interiors, an ASID Industry Partner. Our workroom has been in business for over 30 years. We create and refurbish furniture for commercial settings like universities, hospitals, business interiors as well as residential settings. Come and learn all the inside information about fabricating furniture, refinishing wood, selecting appropriate foam products, contrast cording, top stitching, and how to write a designer work order for reupholstering and custom-building furniture. After spending time in our full-service furniture workroom, you will learn the top 10 things about furniture refurbishing and custom building. You will work side by side, one on one, with some of the most experienced craftsman that have expertise in custom building, reupholstering and cutting and sewing fabrics and leather. You will get to have the experience of going on-site to meet with clients, experience a furniture installation and sit in for an appointment with at least one or two of our vendors. During the mentor program, you will get to see what I personally do daily as president of the company. You will hear how I contact and advertise to designers, how we quote projects and follow up with recent quotes and projects in process. I love my business and have a passion for marketing/advertising and would love to show you how we have become a successful interiors design workroom. Please wear business casual attire. FYI: I’m taking up to 3 students for this experience.
