What is Student Symposium all about?
EXPANDING NETWORKS & PROVIDING INSPIRATION
Student Symposium + Real World Design Week exposes budding designers to the REAL WORLD of interior design. The event is filled with RICH OPPORTUNITIES that expose students to the fact that there are so many DIFFERENT PATHS one can take with an interior design degree.
Students INTERACT ONE-ON-ONE WITH and LEARN FROM DESIGNERS and INDUSTRY PARTNERS from ALL FACETS of design. Students hear from EXPERIENCED CAREER PROFESSIONALS about what it's like in the industry and how to prepare themselves for the workplace.

Scholarships
In conjunction with Student Symposium, you can apply to win one of four different Scholarships of $1,000 each.

Real World Design Week
The first four days of Student Symposium (Monday, February 27 - Thursday, March 2) consist of REAL WORLD DESIGN WEEK, personalized Shadow Experiences for Students with practicing Interior Designers and Industry Partners. Most Shadow Experiences are in person, but some are virtual.

The last day of Student Symposium (Friday, March 3) features IN-PERSON EVENTS in the ASID Texas Chapter's Design Communities.

Eligibility
Shadow Experiences and In-Person Events are open exclusively to ASID Student Members, both within and outside of Texas.
Scholarships are open exclusively to ASID Student Members actively enrolled as a student in a Texas-based interior design academic program: 2-year program freshman and above; 4-year program freshman; or graduate level.
So if you're not a member, JOIN NOW! Pay $85 once for a membership that will last up to six years! Plus, once you graduate, you can advance to an Allied Practitioner membership and save over $1,400 over the first 5 years of your career! It's really a no brainer...
