Student Design Competition  | CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD A FLYER [PDF] ABOUT THIS DESIGN COMPETITION

Design competitions are a great marketing tool. Start entering design competitions while you are in school. Not only will your wins impress interviewers, but you will create the career-building habit of entering competitions that will serve you well when you become a practicing designer.

This design competition provides the chance for students to share their work outside of the academic environment and - if they win - brag about it to prospective employers:
  • First Place recipients will receive a $250 cash prize, a trophy and a complimentary Student Profile for one (1) year on the ASID Texas Chapter website.
  • Second Place recipients will receive a trophy and a complimentary Student Profile for one (1) year on the ASID Texas Chapter website.
  • All winners will be recognized in the ASID Texas Chapter quarterly magazine, Design Texas.
  • All winners will be recognized on on the ASID Texas Chapter website, as well as on the Student Symposium website, asidtxstudentsymposium.org, throughout the 2011-2012 leadership year.
  • All winners will be recognized in an official ASID Texas Chapter email to all member categories: Practitioners, Industry Partners and Students.

The DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS OCTOBER 1, 2011, and the winners will be ANNOUNCED AT THE STUDENT AWARDS CEREMONY, which takes place Saturday, October 15, 2011.

  3. Complete the Entry Form and mail in to the ASID Texas Chapter office so that it arrives no later than 5pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011. [If hand-delivering, know that office hours are Mon-Fri from 9am-12noon & 1pm-3:30pm, so call ahead and plan accordingly.]
