Hi, my name is Tyler Garrett, Allied ASID, and I am a Showroom Administrative Associate at Arc-Com, as well as have my own design firm, Garrett Interiors. At Wade College I earned an Associates of Fine Arts, applied interior design, during which time I seasonally worked at Taylors, a high-end lighting showroom. I have also interned as a Design Assistant with an interior design firm where I assisted with selecting tile, countertops, paint colors, etc.; helped draw renovations in AutoCAD; performed field measurements; and created client presentations. I gained further experience as a Furniture Sales Associate at Crate & Barrel before moving into my current position with Arc-Com. I have also gained lots of experience just by keeping close connections with my peers, visiting showrooms and frequently going to industry events. If you choose my experience, we will meet at Arc-Com where I will show you how we maintain and organize our extensive fabric showroom. We will talk about how to work with interior designers on their projects, checking stock and inventory, placing fabric orders, and creating fabric presentations. We’ll also talk about the interior design industry overall and the many ways you can be a part of it. Please wear business casual attire. FYI: I am only taking 1 student for this experience.
