Are you a secret rug lover??? If so, join me for an in person shadow experience to learn all there is to know about hand woven RUGS! Hi, my name is Meg Walker, and I am Vice President of ASID Industry Partner Aladdin. After graduating from Texas Christian University in 2004, I began my career at Aladdin in Accounting, Marketing and HR. As my role and responsibilities have grown within Aladdin, my education has continued. I completed the UTSA Building Business Excellence Program in 2009, and in 2016 graduated from the Master Rug Cleaner Program. I have also taken on increasing leadership within the industry nationally. I have served on the Board of the Association of Rug Care Specialists (ARCS) since 2016 and am a past President. If you choose my experience, first, we'll tour our rug gallery and our rug cleaning and repair facility. You'll learn all there is to know about rugs, from the foundation to how and where they are made. Then we'll take a look at how we source our rugs and what that process looks like. Next we'll visit our online store and go behind the scenes to see how we sell and show these fabulous rugs to the world. You'll meet our rug gallery director and the team that makes all this magic happen! Located near downtown San Antonio and The Pearl, Aladdin has been in business since 1956 and selling rugs since 2010. FYI: I’m taking up to 2 students for this experience.
