(Tue) Annette Mallard
Hi, my name is Annette Mallard, ASID, RID, and I am both an interior designer and manufacturer’s rep for Contract Resource Group. I received my BA in Interior Design from the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation I worked in Louisiana at ML Bath Ltd., a Steelcase dealership, and then MHSM Architecture. I’m registered in both Louisiana and Texas. After holding several board positions with the South Central Chapter of ASID, I joined the ASID Texas Chapter in 2008. I have been the ASID Texas Chapter Legacy of Design Chair and am currently the ASID Texas President. If you choose my experience, I would like to talk to you about using your interior design degree to first gain experience and then becoming a commercial furniture manufacturer’s representative. We’ll discuss how you work with interior designers to complete projects and the importance of working trade shows, both local and national like Neocon in Chicago. I'll Zoom from my company’s showroom so that I can walk you through furniture selections. We’ll also talk about how ASID has helped me network, find jobs and become the leader I am today. FYI: I’m taking up to 4 students for this experience.
- Timeline: Afternoon for up to 4 hours (we can work out the details)
