(Thu) Laura Britt
Hi, my name is Laura Britt, ASID, RID, and I am President & Managing Principal of Britt Design Group. Besides being a Registered Interior Designer, I also hold a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas School of Architecture with an emphasis in sustainability. Previously in my career, I managed and designed large-scale commercial interior design and architecture projects as the Interior Designer for the Air Force Academy. Now, by integrating architectural and interior design solutions, my Britt Design Group team designs beautiful, functional, and transformative commercial and residential spaces. In addition to managing my design practice, I founded my own American-made, modern furniture company focused on creating low-emitting healthy furnishings for use in commercial and residential settings. If you choose this experience, one of the many talented designers on our team will guide you through our resource library, and you will meet with junior staff to understand their day-to-day duties, participate as an observer in active design concept meetings, and shadow designers as they work in CAD and/or Revit and make material selections. Please wear business casual attire. FYI: I’m only taking 1 student for this experience.
